Corrections Policy

At UHUDA, accuracy is the foundation of our credibility. We understand that our readers rely on us for precise and timely financial news, data, and analysis. When we make a mistake, we own it — and we correct it promptly, clearly, and transparently.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

  • We are committed to publishing factual, well-sourced, and thoroughly reviewed content.
  • Our editorial team includes experienced journalists and finance experts who follow rigorous checks before any story goes live.
  • Despite our best efforts, occasional errors may occur — and when they do, we take them seriously.

Types of Corrections

We categorize corrections into the following types:

1. Factual Errors

Incorrect data, quotes, names, dates, or financial figures are corrected as soon as they are verified.

Example: If we misstate a company’s quarterly earnings, we will update the article and note the correction.

2. Spelling or Grammar

Minor typos or grammatical issues that do not alter the meaning of the content may be corrected silently. Larger errors that affect clarity will be noted.

3. Contextual Clarifications

If a story is technically accurate but potentially misleading or lacking context, we will add an editor’s note for clarity.

4. Updates

Sometimes, new developments emerge after a story is published. We label these additions clearly as Updates rather than Corrections.

How We Handle Corrections

When a correction is made:

  • We update the content in the original article.
  • A note is added at the bottom or top of the article indicating what was corrected and when.
  • For significant corrections, we may issue a standalone correction notice or update across our social channels.

Correction Note Example:

Correction (April 18, 2025): An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated the inflation rate as 5.8%. The correct figure is 6.2%.

How to Request a Correction

We value input from our readers. If you spot an error, please notify us by emailing:

[email protected]

Please include:

  • A link to the article
  • A brief description of the error
  • Any supporting documentation or source (if available)

Our editorial team will review the submission and respond within 2 business days.

Editorial Independence

Corrections are made regardless of source or subject.
We do not remove articles or alter information in response to pressure — unless the original content violates legal, ethical, or journalistic standards.

Article Retractions or Removals

In rare cases where a story is found to be fundamentally flawed or based on false information:

  • We may issue a full retraction.
  • The article will be clearly marked as Retracted.
  • A detailed explanation will accompany the retraction for transparency.

Archive Integrity

We maintain a transparent record of all major corrections, especially for articles that have received significant visibility.
